Occasionally, you may need to bond silicone to silicone. This one-part silicone rubber adhesive is made for just that. This silicone-to-silicone adhesive is an RTV adhesive ideally made for unprimed adhesion to silicone, some plastics, metals and glass. This adhesive for silicone rubber is a paste material that has an acetoxy cure via condensation. With curing times of 4 minutes, 12 minutes and 72 hours for room-temperature work time, tack-free time and cure time, this glue for silicone rubber cures relatively quickly. With high-tensile strength, elongation and tear PSI, this RTV adhesive is translucent after it cures and can be used in temperatures from -45ºC to 260ºC. This silicone-to-silicone bonding paste can be mixed with pigments and is resistant to weathering, UV, moisture, ozone and high temperatures. This adhesive can be used with catalyzed silicones and still provide strong and flexible bonds between them, as indicated by its high-tensile strength, elongation and tear PSI.
Exonic Polymers EXS-141 is a 1-part, acetoxy cure, silicone RTV adhesive developed for bonding silicone to silicone. When cured, this silicone rubber glue adhesive resists weathering, ozone, moisture, UV and high temperatures.
