This high-temperature silicone sealant is ideal for the automotive and marine industries. The high-temperature silicone sealant is a black paste that is sensor safe and utilizes a noncorrosive oxime cure system. After eight minutes, the hi-temp silicone sealant is set, after 14 minutes, it's tack-free, and after 72 hours, the sealant is fully cured. The strong sealant has a high tensile strength of 275 PSI, elongation of 350% and peel strength of 20 PPI, and it is interchangeable for certain OEM parts made by Chrysler, Ford and GM.
Not only is the EXS-109 a high-temp oil-resistant sealant, but the paste can also bond through oil. Additionally, the room-temperature-vulcanizing silicone sealant was developed to not require priming. A long shelf life of a year makes this an easy product to keep on hand. The oil-resistant silicone sealant is also resistant to weathering, ozone, moisture and UV, providing superior sealing and adhesion. Furthermore, the sealant operates in a broad range of temperatures, from -54°C–260°C, making it robust in varying temperatures and harsh environments.
